Frequently Asked Maintenance Questions

  • To ensure safety and reliability, manufacturers recommend a professional service every 1–2 years. A tune-up is essential if your cover is more than three years old, shows signs of performance lag—such as loud noises or tracking issues—or is located on a high-use commercial property.

For new homeowners, a baseline inspection provides peace of mind, while proactive maintenance for any system helps prevent costly mid-season downtime and ensures your cover remains fully compliant with safety standards.

  • While professional service is available throughout the swimming season, we recommend scheduling your tune-up in conjunction with your pool opening or closing.

Aligning maintenance with these seasonal transitions ensures your system is optimized for peak performance during the summer and properly secured for the winter months.

  • Regular maintenance should be performed weekly, or bi-weekly, in the form of rinsing out the tracks and keeping them free from debris. One can certainly perform maintenance beyond the basics, but our technicians are factory-trained, and we know what to look for.

The bottom line is quite simply: an automatic pool cover is a safety feature. Pool safety equipment should be addressed by qualified, trained professionals.
